What’s the deal? An introduction to New Fair Deal
Length 3 hours
You’re not alone! If you were working in the public sector but the job you do has now been transferred across to an independent provider, you’ll probably have heard about something called New Fair Deal. But do you know what that really means or is it just some words you’ve heard, and you know that it’s got something to do with pensions? By attending one of our sessions, you’ll have the chance to meet other people in the same situation. Together, you’ll find out what it means and how to make the most of the benefits of New Fair Deal. So, when your work-life balance changes in years to come, you’ll know that you’ve made the best preparations possible. That way, you know you can do the things you want to do (within reason!).
Over the course of two to three hours we cover:
- what is New Fair Deal?
- how the pension scheme works
- contributions payable
- boosting benefits
- benefits on leaving
- the Partnership pension scheme
- family benefits
So that by the end of the session you attend you’ll:
- understand the benefits available within the scheme
- be able to calculate your pension benefits
- be able to understand your benefit statements
