We have refreshed our employer training material and are now offering bite-sized sessions by webinar. These two hour presentations cover a wide range of Civil Service Pension Scheme (CSPS) topics and are designed for anyone involved with the CSPS as part of their professional role, whether in HR, payroll, finance or recruitment.

Day 1 of our employer training course is designed to give you a detailed overview of the Civil Service Pension Schemes (CSPS). You’ll look at how the scheme is funded, how the benefits are calculated, the various top up and retirement options available to members and where your involvement fits into the running of the schemes. ‘Introduction – Know the basics’ is the perfect place to start to lay the foundations of your pension scheme knowledge.
Day 2 of our employer training course is designed for employers who want a more in depth level of Civil Service Pension Scheme (CSPS) knowledge. You’ll learn about the various retirement options available in thorough detail, the death benefits offered from the CSPS and the impact that divorce can have on pension benefits. You’ll look at the specific forms and processes involved in the scheme. If you’re looking to expand your current knowledge whilst honing in on the finer details then ‘Intermediate – Expand your knowledge’ is the course for you.
Day 3 of our employer training course is designed for employers who want to challenge themselves by tackling the most technically advanced aspects of the Civil Service Pension Scheme (CSPS). From Injury Benefits to Data & Interface and the Civil Service Compensation scheme (CSCS), you’ll acquire an expert level of knowledge. If you want to become a pension pro then ‘Advanced – Master your subject’ is waiting for you.
The Data and interface course is designed for anyone who is likely to give support in maintaining member data and providing the monthly interface to MyCSP. This very useful course will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to update and provide the monthly member data interface to MyCSP within the required timescales.
This is a free session to provide information about Annual Benefit Statements (ABS) and Pension Savings Statements (PSS). It explains the key aspects of ABS and some of the most common member queries. It will also explain what employers need to do when providing and funding both group and one to one tax support sessions for Civil Service employees who have received a PSS.
The Civil Service Compensation Scheme (CSCS) Awareness course covers the responsibilities of the employer when managing early exits and redundancies, including the communications process and the benefits that are offered to members.
